Michael Price, a PhD student in biological sciences at SFU has undertaken an extensive research and has noted extirpation of B.C. Salmon due to decline in the monitoring by DFO. Salmon stocks have plummeted down. Price has concluded that the federal fisheries department has not been strategic while carrying appropriate preventive measures.
